Improve Your Health, Improve Your Life
Integrative health coaching is for anyone and everyone who has an open mind and would like to gain holistic perspective on taking control of their health and wellness.
Let’s start at the beginning, I was born on December 3...just kidding - Let’s start at 12 or 13 years old, when I had to stop competitive gymnastics from a severe back injury. At 13 years of age, I was also diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes after being in a coma for 3 days. (Scary, yes but more for my family than me). Fast forward, I’ve always been active and played various sports in high school. I worked out with varying regularity from every morning to a few times per week. I’ve been into everything from being a regular hot yogi to competitively powerlifting. At 28 years old, I qualified for nationals in powerlifting. That year was 2016, the same year I started a new job in “the big city” so, training with that intensity became too much that year.
Now, here I am today - I have a bachelors degree in exercise science with a minor in nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and have worked in the health and fitness industry since 2011. After a successful tenure at Equinox in NYC as an advanced trainer (eventually “training trainers”, as I refer to it, within the company). I continue to expand my knowledge through constant reading and certifications including but not limited to; Functional Range Conditioning mobility specialist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, BioForce conditioning specialist, ACSM Certified clinical exercise physiologist, and now Integrative Health Coach from Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
THIS IS BLESSING WELLNESS!
- Jackie Blessing
“I’ve been training with Jackie Blessing for over two years and have honestly never had a better experience with a coach. Jackie is a knowledgeable, motivating and innovative health and fitness professional, who cares deeply about her clients. Her always positive attitude, great sense of humor and empathetic approach make each session a genuine pleasure, even as her creativity and consistent focus on fitness goals keep them consistently challenging. But what really sets Jackie apart from other coaches I’ve worked with is her understanding that there’s more going on in her clients’ lives than simply their workouts, and more to their health and fitness than the weight of the kettlebells they can hoist. Her holistic approach to wellness has informed all of my work with her, and has made me a more fit, less injury prone and less-stressed athlete.”
